Gallivanters' Join Up to the Terracotta Warriors exhibit -Jan11

Join Sharon Hirst and Jeanne Abel for a Gallivanters' Join Up to the Terracotta Warriors exhibit at the Franklin Institute on January 11.  The exhibit explores the amazing discovery of thousands of life-sized statues,  guarding the tomb of their master, China's first emperor, constructed over 2,000 years ago. Our event will begin at 10:15 with the Imax film, Mysteries of China,  which will provide some background on the Emperor,  the times and the later discovery of the terracotta warriors.  Following the film we will begin our audio tour of the exhibit at 11:30AM.  After the tour we will choose a restaurant nearby for lunch.  We will take the #544 train which arrives at Suburban Station at 9:50.  Weather permitting we will walk several blocks to the Franklin Institute or take an Uber.  The cost of the Imax show and audio guide tour is $45.  You must purchase your ticket in advance at www.fi.edu.  After purchasing your ticket register at www.mainlinenewcomers.org so we know you are coming.  Direct any questions to Sharon Hirst (sharonhirst@yahoo.com)or Carol Banford(banfordcpa@gmail.com).
