Speaker Series
“Positive Advocacy: How to Stand Up for Yourself and Ask for What You Want”
Date: Tuesday, April 10, 2018
Time: 7:00PM
Location: Ludington Library, 5 South Bryn Mawr Avenue, Bryn Mawr PA 19010
Although many of us feel comfortable advocating for others as part of our jobs, it can be much more difficult to advocate for things that are important to our own career success. Many of us either fail to recognize opportunities to negotiate, or mistakenly associate negotiation with confrontation. This session will discuss the art of “positive advocacy,” and provide you with some tools and techniques to more confidently solve problems in both formal and informal workplace situations.
