Gallivanters' tour of Stoneleigh and lunch at Estia - Thursday, September 20 at 10:30

Discover a new Main Line treasure on the Gallivanters’ tour of Stoneleigh: A Natural Garden on Thursday, September 20 at 10:30AM.  Stoneleigh, a 42 acre estate in Villanova, was the home of the Haas family for 80 years.  In 2016 the family donated the property to the Natural Lands conservancy so the property could be preserved forever.  Shortly before opening this spring,  Natural Lands learned of the Lower Merion school district's interest in the property for a new middle school.  Much controversy ensued and the final determination of whether any of the property will be taken by the school district is yet to be determined.  Learn about this beautiful gift to the region on a tour of the parkland, gardens and charming house.  The tour is approximately 1 mile over roads and bluestone pathways and inside the house.  The tour, which will be held rain or shine, takes approximately 1 1/2 hours.  Wear comfortable shoes.   Following the tour around 12:15 join us for an optional fixed price lunch at Estia in nearby Radnor.  Cost of the tour is $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers.Lunch is and additional $35 and includes 3 courses and coffee and tea.  Contact banfordcpa@gmail.com with any questions.  Register for the tour or tour and lunch at mainlinenewcomers.org by September 13.No refunds but you can substitute another member to take your place”
